10. Midge the Magician

Curly and Boysie look up and see an old friend coming towards them.
"It's Midge the Magician!" says Curly. "How glad we are to see you!" she calls out.

"You look as if you have a problem," Midge says. "Tell me all about it and we'll see what can be done."

Curly tells Midge about the river flowing backwards and Boysie explains why the fish are worried.

"Let's help the fish first," says Midge, "and then we can think about the backwards river. I have a large pond. These fish can stay there until the river is back to normal."

"But how will we get them to the pond?" asks Curly. "We have nothing to carry them in."

"Are you forgetting my magic?" asks Midge. "How do you think I knew that you needed help? A simple spell is all we need."
